| New York, NY October 18, 2006– The Rolling Stone and Chevrolet "Year in Rock" calendar, a 12-month compilation of mega-watt musicians spanning musical genres from rock 'n roll to country, hip-hop and punk, hits newsstands on October 20th inside Rolling Stone’s November 2nd car culture issue.
Capturing this year’s coveted cover spot on the 2007 calendar is hip-hop heavyweight Ludacris, whose current album “Release Therapy” has already reached #1 on the charts, Featured with Ludacris is breakthrough artist, Shareefa.
The fifth edition of the calendar features other fan-favorites each month, including, Alien Ant Farm, Anna Nalik, Chris Brown, Daniel Powter, Kelis, Montgomery Gentry, Omarion, Robin Thicke, Teddy Geiger, and Trent Tomlinson. All musical artists were photographed with some of Chevrolet's hottest new cars and trucks. In honor of Rolling Stone’s 40th Anniversary in 2007, the artists were shot against famous musical landmarks, including Harlem’s famed jazz club Lenox Lounge, LA’s Pantages Theater, Nashville’s Bluebird Café and Venice California’s Electric Avenue.

In previous years, the Rolling Stone and Chevrolet "Year in Rock” calendar has included Nas, Big & Rich, Gavin DeGraw, Shooter Jennings, Gretchen Wilson, Ashanti, Vanessa Carlton, LL Cool J, John Legend, Uncle Kracker, Fat Joe, The Roots and The Donnas.
Ludacris’ DTP/Def Jam "Release Therapy," which sold 309,000 copies its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan, is the rapper's third chart-topper, following 2003's "Chicken 'N Beer" and 2004's "Red Light District." Ludacris has also become a respected actor with roles in “Hustle & Flow” and “Crash.”
